Following a head injury, neck injury, stroke or many other conditions, you can be left with vestibular problems that affect balance and dizziness.
In many of these cases the Vestibular System will be involved.
What is the Vestibular System?
The Vestibular System is responsible for maintaining balance, posture and the body’s orientation in space. This system also regulates movement and keeps objects in visual focus as the body moves.
Disturbances to the vestibular system may be caused by infections, concussion, drug toxicity, degenerative conditions, stroke, BPPV and other neurological conditions.

Our physiotherapists are trained in Vestibular Rehabilitation and can complete a comprehensive assessment of the vestibular, oculomotor and balance systems.
This enables us to provide an individually tailored programme for the client, including education, treatment, exercises and a home programme. Vestibular rehabilitation aims at reducing dizziness in order to maximize return to daily activities.
